Welspun Corp Limited’s associate company, East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry (EPIC) signed a contract of large diameter steel pipes supply with Saudi Aramco for a total value of nearly INR 4,000 crore. This recent order represents the major share of the first package of the Master Gas – Phase 3 project.

East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry (EPIC), Welspun Corp Limited’s associate company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), has recently signed a large diameter steel pipes supply contract with Saudi Aramco for a total value exceeding approximately INR 4,000 crore (SAR 1.8 billion) inclusive of value added tax. This recent order by Saudi Aramco is one of the single largest orders for EPIC, representing the major share of the first package of the Master Gas – Phase 3 project.

As per Welspun, the strategic project involves Saudi Arabia’s attempt to convert a number of power plants from oil to natural gas. Saudi Aramco is extending the existing Master Gas System (MGS) to the Western Province in order to supply the power plants located there. MGS’ development and expansion will accelerate the drive towards a cleaner energy mix, helping to reach the net-zero emission goal set by the country.
