STEP Techno Solutions, a leading manufacturer, designer and supplier of world-class surface treatment plants and acid/chemical storage equipment, aims to become the market leader for providing complete solutions in the surface treatment industry in the next five years. This was revealed by Mr. Varun Bhuta, Vice President – Business Development, STEP Techno Solutions India, during his recent interaction with Tube & Pipe India.
Tube & Pipe India: Kindly walk us through the business journey of STEP Techno Solutions LLP, highlighting major milestones and crucial achievements.
Varun Bhuta: STEP Techno Solution LLP was founded in 2019 as a manufacturer and exporter of polypropylene tank, storage tank, surface treatment plant, and fume extraction systems. The first step was taken in 2019 itself with the introduction of new technology in manufacturing of thermoplastic tanks and fume extraction systems. We also introduced a 10 mt heighted settler in polypropylene in the same year. STEP Techno established its complete pickling plant in 2020 and came up with its zinc recovery plant in 2021. We started supplying our products in water treatment industries in 2022 and set up our galvanizing plant in 2023.
TPI: Please give us information about your robust infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities.
VB: STEP Techno has a state-of-the-art infrastructure, which is equipped with the latest technology machinery, tools and testing equipment, in order to provide our customers with the best products and technologies available in the market today. STEP is managed by highly qualified and skilled professionals with experience of 25 years in the field. Leveraging on considerable years of experience, we are engaged in manufacturing, designing and supplying world-class surface treatment plants and acid/chemical storage equipment.
TPI: What does the product basket of STEP Techno Solutions boast of?
VB: We have a diverse range of offerings for our customers, underscoring our commitment to customer satisfaction. Made from superior grades of raw materials, the product basket of STEP Techno includes equipment for surface finishing, anodizing, powder coating, electroplating, galvanizing, of tube & pipe, and wire & cable.
TPI: What is your USP which gives you an edge over others?
VB: At STEP, we constantly strive to work towards implementing solutions that are on wishlists of our customers. We use a DVS-based butt welding process, which is unique to our company.
We also specialize in manufacturing tanks with fold bends at the bottom (leak-proof tanks). Further, we have the ability to design and manufacture our products as per the requirement of our clients.
TPI: Kindly tell us more about your market footprint and major clientele.
VB: We refer to our customers as our growth partners. As a five-year-old company, we have around 75 Indian growth partners spread across the length & breadth of the country, and five foreign growth partners. Our products are in huge demand across India and the Middle East. Our major clients in India include Tata, Jindal, Adani, Raajratna, Maxim Tubes, Goodluck India, and Lalbaba Engineering Group.
TPI: Research plays an important role in the growth of a company. Kindly elaborate.
VB: Managing a growing business is a complex process involving a great deal of uncertainty and constant change. Research can play an important role in reducing that risk by offering actionable insights. Research can also drive business growth by serving as the foundation of a thought leadership marketing strategy
TPI: How do you plan to enhance your business presence in India as well as at the global level?
VB: Increasing business presence involves a wide range of factors and strategies that require online and offline efforts.

TPI: Please share your views on trade fairs. How do you think such events help the industry?
VB: Attending exhibitions and trade fairs can offer a wide range of benefits for both individuals and businesses. We believe such events enhance our brand visibility by increasing brand awareness and presence. They can also be called a versatile marketing tool as they bring together the whole industry, including the manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and traders under one roof, thus giving every stakeholder a good opportunity to interact and network with the best.

Face-to-face interactions at trade fairs can help in building trust and credibility with potential customers. TPI: What are your expectations from Tube & Pipe Fair 2024?
VB: STEP Techno is looking forward to the Tube & Pipe Fair 2024, to be held at the Hitex Exhibition Center, Hyderabad from August 5 to 7. It will provide us with a great opportunity to mingle with existing customers and potential clients, making way for new & interesting collaborations. We believe it will be a good way to enhance our brand visibility, awareness, and presence through the exposure provided by TPF 2024. The exhibition will further provide us with an opportunity to get information about product launches, innovations, new materials, machines and processes, along with current trends driving the industry.
