The Andhra Pradesh government will lay the foundation for ArcelorMittal Nippon’s mega steel plant in October 2025, boosting industrial growth.

The Andhra Pradesh government is set to lay the foundation stone in October 2025 for the ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AM/NS India) integrated steel plant in Rajayyapeta, Anakapalli district, aiming for project completion by the end of 2028.
Industries Minister TG Bharat confirmed that 6,000 acres have been acquired, and pollution clearance is expected by September. The project is part of AP’s wider push to attract large-scale industrial investments.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is engaging with Jindal Group to revive the long-pending Kadapa steel plant and remains committed to stabilising and reviving the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP).
