Vanya Steels, a subsidiary of A-One Steel Group, will invest INR 100 crore to establish a 10 MW waste-to-energy power plant at its Koppal facility. The plant will operate using Waste Heat Recovery Boiler (WHRB) technology, capturing residual heat from steel production to generate electricity. It is expected to be operational by July 31.

This move is aimed at improving energy efficiency, reducing operational costs, and lowering the company’s carbon footprint. By using industrial waste heat, Vanya Steels will cut its dependence on grid power while contributing to sustainable manufacturing practices in the steel industry.
