Tata Steel has announced the inauguration of the first scrap-based electric arc furnace in the state-of-the-art steel plant in Ludhiana. This 0.75 MTPA steel plant is built with an investment of approximately INR 3,200 crore.
Powered by renewable energy and 100% steel scrap, this plant is a move ahead towards Net Zero goal by 2045. ”Together with Punjab, we forge a stronger and greener tomorrow,” posted the company on its social media handle.
