APL Apollo Tubes Limited is in the midst of a major capacity expansion programme aimed at scaling its manufacturing capacity to 10 million tonnes by FY30, strengthening its position in the structural steel tube market.
The company’s expansion roadmap includes five greenfield manufacturing facilities at Gorakhpur (200,000 tonnes), Siliguri (300,000 tonnes), Bhuj (300,000 tonnes), New Malur (600,000 tonnes) and Raipur (600,000 tonnes). These projects are expected to contribute a combined additional capacity of 2 million tonnes.

Alongside greenfield expansion, APL Apollo is adding 1 million tonnes through debottlenecking and undertaking plant modernisation initiatives. This includes replacing conventional mills with faster and more efficient equipment to improve throughput and productivity. A detailed execution plan for these initiatives is expected to be outlined within the next year.
