Product mix is inclined towards more stringent quality norms on ERW, seamless pipes & tubes and plate inspection for the oil and gas applications. Trade remedies are reshaping requirements and more focussed on in-country sourcing which is nudging buyers toward compliant domestic supply.
Impact of New Entrants in the Industry
India is yet to have set players in terms of local manufacturing. However, entry and marketing of global manufacturers in India has obviously introduced higher quality standards to customers. There are some innovations, patents by industry leaders like- Nordinkraft on hardspot testing in plates which has turned out to become a global quality alarm and accepted by the industry. Such an approach by the Indian pipe and plate industry motivates new manufacturers to enter in this field.

Expectations from Tube & Pipe Fair 2025
We are expecting a bigger show than last year with plate, pipes and tube manufacturers coming as visitors. Visitors will be able to discuss the range of NDT solutions we offer for pipe inspection, plate testing on hardspot detection, tube inspection, vision cameras and conventional NDT products.
