Tube & Pipe India: Please provide a brief overview of your company including its history, mission, and values.
Ashish Talaviya: My father Mr. S.H. Patel started manufacturing screw barrels in 1984. Initially, our company had a single conventional lathe machine, but with hard work and dedication towards the buyer, we were able to have a big client base in India and across. At present, we have a wide manufacturing area of 1,00,000 sq. meters and can produce more than 5000 screw barrels per annum. By 2027, we target to manufacture 12000 screw barrels per annum. Our organization has a big share in supplying all types of twin and single screws which are most suitable for plastic industries.
Recently, we have started manufacturing HDPE pipes and PPR pipes machine manufacturing (On name Pipext International). In September 2024, we are launching India’s first in house bimetallic screws and barrels manufacturing facility.
TPI: Kindly walk us through your manufacturing setup and production capacity. Also, tell us about your market footprint and product portfolio.
AT: We have an approximately 1,00,000 sq. meters manufacturing setup in Ahmedabad manufacturing over 5000 sets per annum. Every screw and barrel is manufactured in-house. We use EN41 steel that we buy from Mahindra to manufacture the screw and barrels. We are currently manufacturing twin parallel screws, single screws, barrier screws, injection molding screw barrels, twin screw barrels, rubber extruder screw barrels, groove feed bushes, etc. Recently, we have started manufacturing HDPE pipes and PPR pipes machine manufacturing (On name Pipext International). We are supplying our screw barrel to OEMs including Windsor Exports, Electronica Group, Shibaura Machine India Private Limited, Prikan Machinery Private Limited, Supermac Industries, etc.
TPI: Please shed some light on your recent developments or upcoming projects.
AT: The demand for recycled products is growing. The government has made norms where the manufacturers have to use 40 percent recycled materials. We are now coming up with a bimetallic machine for screws and barrels which will increase the life of the products. For instance, today the screws have a life cycle of 1 year. With our new machine the life of the screws and barrels will increase to 5 years. We are planning to manufacture everything in-house so that the life cycle can be increased and the cost of production can be reduced. We will be the first one in India to manufacture bimetallic screws and barrels.
