Blumet Tubes Private Limited, which has grown exponentially in the past two years, sees itself as a leading tube manufacturer, having recognition and presence at both national and international levels. This was revealed by Mr. Arvind Mehta, Managing Director, Blumet Tubes Private Limited, during his recent interaction with the Tube & Pipe India magazine.
Tube & Pipe India: Please highlight your major milestones and crucial achievements.
Arvind Mehta: Having experience of more than 40 years in the stainless steel industry, within two years of manufacturing, we have started reaching milestones already. We have crossed the turnover of INR 45 crore till June 2024, which is an achievement and a big milestone for us.
TPI: Please share information about your manufacturing facilities and annual production capacity.
AM: We have cold-drawn pilger mills, solution annealing furnaces, draw bench, pickling unit, straightening machines, cutting machines, pointing machines, and eddy current test machines with a production capacity of 5000 MTPA.
TPI: What does the product basket of Blumet Tubes Private Limited contain? Which are the industries where your products find application?
AM: Our extensive product basket comprises stainless, duplex, nickel alloys, and seamless pipes & tubes. These products find application in industries such as heat exchangers, condensers, oil & gas, marine, pharmaceuticals, dairy, automobile, and reactors.
TPI: Riding high on technology, Blumet Tubes Private Limited has been to maintain a high level of client satisfaction. Please elaborate.
AM: We believe in quality, dedication, determination and commitment. If we are successful in delivering this, then we are satisfying our clients to the fullest. We maintain our company’s principles to get ultimate customer satisfaction.
TPI: Kindly tell us more about your market footprint and major clientele.
AM: We have catered to and are approved vendors to several Indian government companies, PSU’s, MNC’s, and end users. Our major clients include Indian Oil Corporation Limited (A-IOCL), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Indian Railways, Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL), Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), MIL, Reliance, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company Limited (ADGAS), Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), European Union (EU) markets and many more.
TPI: Research plays an important role in the growth of a company. What is your take on this?
AM: Research and development in today’s market is the key to success because what we are providing, there is already someone selling the same. Your success depends on how unique and different you can be today in providing your product.
TPI: How do you plan to enhance your business presence in India as well as at the global level?
AM: Our priority is to serve our nation, our motherland – India. We are already present globally in 20 countries by the name of Blumet and by recognition of our brand Blumet tubes. We will enhance our presence gradually and carefully, so we do not make any mistakes or leave any stains on our Indian brand Blumet.

TPI: Kindly share your views on trade fairs. How do you think such events help the industry?
AM: Trade Fairs play an important role in promoting businesses and business growth as ours is a B2B industry, our industry gets a major boost by such exhibitions.

TPI: What are your expectations from Tube & Pipe Fair 2024?
AM: Our purpose of participating in Tube & Pipe Fair 2024 is to meet buyers and sellers, and understand the current market situation, product demand, and product supply. We further intend to understand the queries and issues faced by the customers and try to resolve them on the spot.
TPI: Please share recent developments at Blumet Tubes Private Limited. Where do you see yourself five years down the line?
AM: Blumet has grown exponentially in the past two years, from an initial annual capacity of 360 metric tonnes to the current 5,000 metric tonnes. We see ourselves as a leading Indian manufacturing company with an annual production of 10,000 metric tonnes, having national and international recognition and presence.
