Coil Processing Solutions Provider FIMIGroup Acquires FRANCI Srl for EUR 7.5 Million

FIMIGroup acquired 60 workplaces and an industrial site measuring more than 10,000 sq m of FRANCI Srl for EUR 7.5 million.

Leading global coil processing solutions provider FIMIGroup has announced the acquisition of FRANCI Srl, an Italian company founded in 1955, leader in the field of design and construction of dies and equipment for the automotive sector, production of mechanical components for industrial plants and hydroelectric power stations as well as special mechanical processing.

A statement issued by FIMIGroup said the acquisition, costing more than EUR 7.5 million, has allowed the preservation of 60 workplaces and an industrial site of more than 10,000 covered sq m, fully equipped with machine tools. It will offer the FIMIGroup a strategic asset able to guarantee the pursuit of its industrial growth path.

Founded in 1963 in Viganò, near Lecco, Italy, FIMIGroup ranks among the top three companies in the world for design, construction and commissioning of complete plants and machines for coil processing, performing in total autonomy thanks to the quality and completeness of its services.

FIMI has installed more than 1,500 plants worldwide. Many of these were installed in the 1970s and are still working successfully. 

During its 60 years of activity, FIMI has always focused on constant development based on the search for technologically advanced solutions, always giving priority to the performances and high quality of its products.

The group design and manufacture complete solutions for cut to length lines, slitting lines, recoiling and coil inspection lines, packaging systems for strips and sheets, tension leveling & degreasing lines, pre-treatment & coating lines, slab & plates milling lines, chips compactor & special machines, lines for electro-welded pipes production, tubes finishing lines, tubes handling and packaging lines, and cold forming lines.

The lines process a wide range of materials, from ferrous to non-ferrous such as high and ultra high strength steel, stainless steel, pre-painted steel, aluminum, copper and brass.
