EMS Limited has won as the lowest bidder (L-1) by UP Jal Nigam (Urban) for two significant construction projects in Varanasi.
The projects involve surveying, and soil investigation, design and supply of all necessary materials and labour, valued at approximately INR 143 crore (material) and INR 64 crore (labour), excluding GST.
The first project entails the laying of sewer networks and house connection work in 18 wards, including Durgakund, Nariyan, Sarainandan, Jolha Northan, and Bhelupur, under the jurisdiction of Nagar Nigam, Varanasi. This project is set to be completed on a turn-key basis within 24 months. The second project involves similar work in Hukulganj and Nai Basti wards. This project includes the construction of a 23 MLD sewage pumping station and is expected to be completed within 18 months.

The company has confirmed that there is no promoter or group company interest in the awarding entities, and the contracts do not fall under related party transactions.
