GAIL (India) Ltd will invest INR 844 crore to enhance the Dahej–Uran–Dabhol–Panvel (DUPL–DPPL) gas pipeline capacity from 19.9 to 22.5 million standard cubic meters per day (mmscmd) over the next three years, a move approved by its board on June 23.
In a separate update, the company extended the completion deadline for its 1,702 km Mumbai–Nagpur–Jharsuguda pipeline (MNJPL) from June 30 to September 30, 2025. The MNJPL project’s cost has risen by INR 411.12 crore to INR 8,255.37 crore, primarily due to delays in obtaining forest, National Board for Wildlife (NBWL), and highway clearances.
