Gallantt Ispat Approves INR 1,014 Crore Expansion Plan

Gallantt Ispat’s board has approved a capital expenditure of INR 1,014.98 crore for the expansion of its steel plant in Gorakhpur. It also plans to establish a captive solar power plant.

Gallantt Ispat’s board has approved proposals for a capital expenditure plan worth INR 1,014.98 crore, aimed at expanding production capacity at its integrated steel plant in Gorakhpur.

As part of the expansion, the company will boost its billet production capacity from 528,000 metric tonnes to 800,250 metric tonnes. The rolling mill’s capacity will rise from 528,000 MT to 805,200 MT. Sponge iron production will increase from 544,500 MT to 560,000 MT, while pellet production capacity will grow from 792,000 MT to 990,000 MT.

The company also plans to enhance its captive power capabilities, increasing capacity from 78 MW to 100 MW through both thermal and waste heat recovery systems. It also plans to establish a new 100 MW captive solar power plant.

The entire project will be funded through internal accruals, reflecting the company’s strong financial position and commitment to sustainable growth.
