Hi-Tech Pipes Limited has started commercial production at its greenfield manufacturing facility in Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir, marking a key milestone in its expansion strategy. The new plant has an installed capacity of 80,000 tonnes per annum and will manufacture ERW steel pipes, coated pipes, and other value-added steel products.

Equipped with modern automation and advanced quality-control systems, the facility is designed to meet stringent customer and industry standards. Its strategic location enables efficient supply to Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh, catering to demand from infrastructure, construction, water distribution, fabrication, and industrial sectors.

The commissioning aligns with the company’s focus on increasing the share of value-added products, supporting improved realizations and stronger EBITDA per tonne. The Kathua plant is expected to contribute meaningfully to volumes and profitability from mid-Q4 FY26 onwards, reinforcing Hi-Tech Pipes’ long-term growth roadmap.
