Tube & Pipe India: Please elaborate on the journey, crucial milestones and success story of your company.

K.J. James: Founded in 1985 by me, JAROS was built on the foundation of delivering reliable, economical, and durable metal tube finishing solutions. Over the past four decades, we’ve transformed from a single-man initiative into one of the most trusted, innovative, and geographically diversified metal processing equipment manufacturers in India and beyond. Some of the key milestones that define our journey are as follow:

In 1985, JAROS was established in Vapi, Gujarat, with a vision to offer robust industrial solutions, tailored to the growing demands of the Indian manufacturing sector. In 1995, we expanded into tube drawing, pointing, and cutting machines, making our mark in both ferrous and non-ferrous processing.

In 2000, we crossed 500+ installations across India, becoming the preferred partner to major industrial houses and paving our way for domestic leadership. Further in 2010, we successfully entered international markets including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe—backed by strong service support and performance reliability.

In 2015, we entered into smart engineering and automation by integrating servo technology, real-time monitoring, and predictive maintenance to align with Industry 4.0 practices.

Recently, in 2024, we marked a major milestone in innovation by successfully manufacturing and commissioning India’s first automatic heavy-duty drawbench with a 250-tonne pulling load capacity that seamlessly integrated with in-line pointing and straightening units—all within a single automated system. This development marks a historic leap in indigenous engineering capabilities and positions JAROS at the forefront of heavy-duty metal forming technology in the country.

Presently, our products are installed in over 20 countries, and we continue to expand both our technological horizons and global footprint. Our success lies not just in innovation, but in the trust we’ve consistently earned from clients who return to us decade after decade. As we look to the future, we remain committed to pushing boundaries—through advanced R&D, sustainable practices, and a customer-first approach that defines who we are and what we stand for.

TPI: Tell us about your offerings and portfolio for the production of tubes and pipes.

KJJ: At JAROS, we specialize in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of metal tube and pipe finishing equipment—with a strong focus on delivering precision, durability, and long-term reliability.

Our product portfolio includes tube straightening machines that help us achieve high precision in straightness and roundness of tubes and bars. It is available in both 6-roll and 10-roll configurations to suit various materials and diameters. Our push pointing machines are designed for accurate and force-controlled tube-end reduction, and are ideal for drawbench feeding and seamless tube processing. The hydraulic squeeze pointing machines are a compact and an efficient solution for heavy-wall tubes or non-standard pointing operations.

Our swaging machines are used for cold forming of pipe ends, diameter reduction, or surface finishing with high accuracy and repeatability. Our drawbench machines (both manual and automatic) include our latest 250-tonnes automatic heavy-duty drawbench, integrated with in-line pointing and straightening, which is India’s first-of- its-kind, and is commissioned in 2024.

Our tube hydrotesting machines are high-pressure testing benches that ensure tube integrity and compliance with global quality standards like API, ASTM, and IS. And finally our section straightening machines are built for structural sections, flats, and profiles, delivering tight tolerances and uniformity across lengths.

All our machines are manufactured in-house entirely, which gives us complete control over quality, precision, and customisation. This also allows us to ensure that spare parts are always readily available for all our equipment, thereby minimising downtime and maintaining production continuity for our customers.

In addition to machinery, we also provide complete plant integration support for our customers, setting up or upgrading tube and pipe production lines. This includes technical consultation, customised layout design, installation and commissioning, operator training, and after-sales support.
