Jindal Stainless Launches First Fabrication Unit with INR 125 Crore Investment

Jindal Stainless has launched its first stainless steel fabrication unit at Patalganga with an investment of INR 125 crore, marking a major step to boost India’s infrastructure and fabrication capabilities.

Jindal Stainless has launched its first stainless steel fabrication unit built with an initial investment of approximately INR 125 crore. 

The company, through its subsidiary Jindal Stainless Steelway Ltd (JSSL), has set up the 4 lakh sq ft facility in Washivali to cater to the bridge infrastructure sector. The plant will focus on the fabrication of girders and other structural components, providing end-to-end solutions from material supply to precision fabrication.

In its first year of operation, the unit aims to deliver around 4,000 tonnes of fabricated products, with plans to scale up to 18,000 tonnes annually by FY27. The company said the facility will bridge gaps in India’s fabrication ecosystem by integrating advanced technology, material quality, and faster project execution.

With this development, Jindal Stainless continues to strengthen its downstream capabilities. The company currently operates 16 stainless steel manufacturing and processing units globally and aims to enhance its total melt capacity to 4.2 million tonnes by FY27.
