Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) has announced plans to invest INR 700 crore in decarbonization projects in the next five years, to achieve its net-zero goals by 2050.
The company said in a statement that the amount will be utilized in the next five years for establishing various environment-friendly projects, including green hydrogen, renewable energy, biodiversity conservation and waste management, along with adoption of carbon capture technologies.

The investment was aimed at achieving significant reduction in GHG emissions and carbon intensity by 50 percent by FY35, realizing financial and environmental goals, as well as accomplishing net-zero emissions by 2050, it added.
