Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) has bagged three contracts worth USD 906.6 million from Aramco to expand the gas supply network in Saudi Arabia.

In March 2024, KPIL had said in a statement that it had received the letter of intent (LoI) from Aramco for carrying out engineering, procurement and construction works for three packages of the third expansion phase of the Master Gas System Network (MGS-3) in Saudi Arabia.

The scope of work covers laying of over 800 km of lateral gas pipeline. The MGS-3 aims to expand the existing gas network to provide gas supply to various industrial consumers in the region. This expansion of the gas network is expected to enhance the ability to meet the growing energy demand in Saudi Arabia and replace liquid fuel burning, contributing to Saudi Arabia’s drive towards a diverse energy mix.

KPIL, one of the largest Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) companies of India, was delighted to collaborate with Aramco towards supporting energy security and reliability, the company said in a statement.

As per Mr. Manish Mohnot, MD & CEO of KPIL, the latest EPC order represented a significant milestone and ‘reaffirmation’ of global acknowledgement of KPIL’s capabilities. He said the company was focused on strengthening its presence in the oil and gas market in the Middle East region over oil and gas EPC business.
