Lloyds Engineering enters a licensing agreement to manufacture and sell eco-friendly, acid-free steel pickling technology worldwide.

Lloyds Engineering Works Limited has signed a purchase and licensing agreement with US-based The Material Works Limited to commercialize EPS Gen-4 cells globally. The patented technology enables acid-free steel surface treatment, offering a fully recyclable process with zero effluent discharge.

Under the agreement, Lloyds will make annual payments and earn-out fees while gaining rights to manufacture and sell unlimited units, excluding select geographies. The Material Works will provide technical support, design upgrades, and marketing assistance. Lloyds stated the deal strengthens its technology portfolio and supports global sustainability goals.
