Lloyds Metals and Tata Steel sign MoU to jointly explore mining, logistics, and sustainable steel projects in Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli district.

Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Tata Steel to explore strategic collaboration across raw material mining, logistics, and steel production.
The MoU was signed by Lloyds Metals Managing Director B Prabhakaran and Tata Steel CEO and Managing Director T V Narendran, with a shared focus on sustainable and long-term growth.
Gadchiroli district in Maharashtra has been identified as a key collaboration area, where both companies will jointly develop mining concessions and supporting infrastructure to enhance iron ore production and build a future steel hub.

The agreement also includes potential cooperation in greenfield steel projects, slurry pipeline infrastructure, and the production and export of low-carbon iron and steel, aligning with India’s decarbonisation and sustainability objectives.
