Tube & Pipe India: You have come a long way since the inception of your company in 2015. How has the journey been?

Prakhyat Nayak: Rishi Pipes & Tubes Private Limited was established in 2015 with a modest capacity of around 50 tonnes per month, manufacturing steel tubes with SS 304 and JT grades. Over the years, we have become a significant force in the stainless steel pipes and tubes market in Bangalore. We take pride in being the largest dealer of Jindal Stainless in South India for pipes and tubes. Our commitment revolves around delivering top-notch quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, and exploring continuous improvements in both products and services.

TPI: Please share information about your manufacturing facilities and annual production capacity.

PN: Our operations span across Bangalore. We have a unit located in the Hirehalli industrial area of Tumkur. Our current capacity stands at 1000 tonnes per month, showcasing over 100 percent growth. With an impressive monthly production capacity of 1000 tonnes, we surpass our competitors, who lack such extensive capabilities.

TPI: What does the product basket of Rishi Pipes & Tubes contain?

PN: We specialize in producing stainless steel pipes in round, square and rectangular sections in SS 304, SS 316, and JT grades. Offering more than 30 sizes ranging from 12.7 mm to 127 mm, we take pride in being the pioneers in the manufacturing of slotted and groove pipes in South India.

TPI: Please tell us about the USP of Rishi Pipes & Tubes.

PN: Our competitive edge lies in our robust manufacturing capabilities and unwavering supply consistency, positioning us as a leader in South India. We prioritize enhancing the quality of our products and refining our business processes to deliver unparalleled products and services to our customers at industry-leading prices. Client satisfaction remains at the forefront of all our endeavors.

TPI: Kindly tell us more about your market footprint and major clientele.

PN: Currently, our presence is concentrated in South India. However, we aspire to expand our reach nationally and explore international markets as well. While we face pricing competition from Chinese companies, we have observed a decrease in the percentage of their market share in India. This shift has created opportunities for domestic players like us.

TPI: Kindly share your views on trade fairs. How do you think such events help the industry?

PN: Rishi Pipes & Tubes believes that trade fairs play an important role in the growth and development of an industry as they bring together all the stakeholders, including the manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and traders under one roof, thus giving a good exposure and chance to learn the best practices. They provide an excellent platform to showcase new products and get instant feedback, as also to enhance the brand awareness & visibility of a business.
