Satendra Rusia: Incorporated in 1996 at Nagpur, Maharashtra, Rusia Engineering Private Limited is a well-known manufacturer, exporter and supplier of cold-forged parts, ball pins, piston pin blanks, cold-headed parts, tubular & hollow parts, con rod bushes, axle shafts, and many more. Our rich domain expertise, coupled with hard work and righteous business practices, has helped us to acquire a strong goodwill
in the industry.
TPI: Please give information about your manufacturing plants and annual production capacity.
SR: Spread over a 22,000 sq ft area at M.I.D.C, Hingna industrial area at Nagpur, Central India, the plant of Rusia Engineering is equipped with forging presses and a host of cutting, grinding and CNC machines. Our vast infrastructural base is further divided into various departments such as procurement, designing, production, quality testing, warehousing & packaging, sales & marketing, etc. In order to function smoothly and efficiently, all these departments are handled by highly skilled professionals. We have installed advanced machinery and tools in our production unit, which enables us to manufacture
a flawless range of products within the committed time frame. We have in-house heat treatment and annealing capabilities for manufacturing various products with a gross annual capacity of 2000 MT.
TPI: What does the product basket of Rusia Engineering Private Limited contain? Which are the industries where your products find application?
SR: Our product basket comprises forged and machined parts, including cut-length seamless tubes up to 130 mm in customer-specific steel and non-ferrous metals with discrete OD and ID requirements in small volumes. Our products find applications in automotive, defense, agriculture, electrical, fastener & fixture industries, marine steering applications, elevator, escalator, and a host of other industries.
TPI: Kindly tell us more about your market footprint and major clientele.
SR: We serve many OEMs in Tier 1 and Tier 2 categories with a pan India presence. Our customers include Federal-Mogul Goetze (India) Limited, India Pistons Limited, Shriram Pistons & Rings Limited, Menon Pistons Limited, Samkrg Pistons & Rings Limited, GMG Techno Trades Private Limited, Sandeep Metalcraft Private Limited, Vishwakarma Auto Parts Private Limited, and Excel Controlinkage Private Limited.
TPI: What is the USP of Rusia Engineering Private Limited that sets it apart from others? How do you manage to stay ahead of the curve in the industry?
SR: We produce cold forged parts that are environment-friendly, have higher quality, better strength, and are manufactured at a lower cost. Our ability to produce small batch quantities at a faster pace and shorter lead time enables us to efficiently cater to the requirements of our clients and gain customer satisfaction.
TPI: Research and Development plays an important role in the growth of a company. What is your take on this?
SR: We constantly innovate with 3D modeling software and FEM simulations to achieve near net shape geometries, thereby allowing customers to minimize and eliminate machining & secondary operations.
TPI: How do you plan to enhance your business presence in India as well as at the global level?
SR: With direct marketing, web presence and participation in events like trade fairs, we wish to reach a broader spectrum of customers.
TPI: Kindly share your views on trade fairs. How do you think such events help the industry?
SR: We believe trade fairs increase brand awareness and visibility. These events provide a great opportunity to build relations with manufacturers, suppliers, buyers, and traders under one roof, thus fostering new collaborations and forging deals.
TPI: What are your expectations from Tube & Pipe Fair 2024?
SR: The seamless tube cut blanks is one of our major product lines. We intend to tap into the customized tube blanks market with our presence at the Tube & Pipe Fair 2024. We will also take this opportunity to analyze ourselves, as well as sell products & services in a competitive environment. Rusia Engineering is looking forward to getting insights regarding innovations, new materials, product launches, machines and processes, from TPF 2024, along with current trends driving the industry.
TPI: Please share details of recent developments at Rusia Engineering Private Limited. Where do you see yourself five years down the line?
SR: Rusia Engineering wishes to grow and at least double its current turnover in the next couple of years. The company aspires to make inroads in new sectors and expand its customer base. We further intend to attract international clients and explore export markets.
