The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has achieved a transformative milestone with the launch of the MIS Portal for Environment at the Environment Management Division (EMD) in Kolkata, West Bengal.
As per the leading steel manufacturer, the cutting-edge web-based platform will centralize environmental data from plants, units and mines, enhancing efficiency, transparency and sustainability practices.
Calling it a testament to SAIL’s unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship and data-driven decision-making, the company said the web portal will empower compliance and foster sustainable growth.
SAIL is one of the seven Maharatna’s of the country’s Central Public Sector Enterprises, which produces top quality steel and iron at five integrated plants and three special steel plants. The facilities are located principally in the eastern and central regions of India, close to domestic sources of raw materials.
