Saudi Steel Pipe to Supply LSAW Pipes worth USD 242.66 Million to Aramco

Under the 15-month contract, a subsidiary of SSP will supply LSAW pipes to Aramco for its carbon capture and storage hub in Jubail, which aims to capture and store an annual 9 million MT of carbon emissions by 2027.

TenarisSaudiSteelPipes, a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrically resistance welded (ERW) steel pipes for the energy, industrial, and construction segments of the Middle East and North Africa, has bagged an order from Saudi Arabian oil and gas company Aramco for the supply of longitudinally submerged arc welded (LSAW) pipes worth USD 242.66 million (SAR 910 million).

As per a statement given to Tawadul by TenarisSaudiSteel Pipes, formerly known as Saudi Steel Pipe (SSP), the 15-month contract has been signed between Aramco and SSP’s subsidiary Global Pipe Company.

The company said the products would be used at Aramco’s carbon capture and storage hub in Jubail, which aimed to capture and store an annual 9 million MT of carbon emissions by 2027.

The Global Pipe Company would supply oil and gas pipes to Aramco for up to 15 months. The financial impact of this contract is expected to be reflected in the second half of 2025 and first half of 2026. There were no related parties to the contract, it added.
