Shyam Metalics has also undertaken several projects that will be commissioned in the coming years. The company will expand its two blast furnace projects with investments of INR 200 crore and INR 410 crore, respectively, in 2027. In addition, the company plans to establish an 800 MW power plant at Sambalpur in the same year. The company also plans to set up a hot rolling mill and furnace having a capacity of 1.58 million TPA in 2029.

Shyam Metalics’ board of directors has approved the voluntary liquidation of Shyam Metalics International DMCC (SMIDMCC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Shyam SEL and Power Limited (SSPL) and a step-down subsidiary of the company.
The company has also undertaken few projects such as: expansion of two blast furnace projects from 0.45 MTPA to 0.55 MTPA and from 0.77 MTPA to 0.98 MTPA and with an estimated investment worth INR 200 crore and INR 410 crore respectively. The project is expected to be commissioned on June 30, 2027.
The company will also establish a power plant at Sambalpur with a capacity of 800 MW. The estimated cost of this project is worth INR 450 crore and is expected to be commissioned on June 30, 2027.
Shyam Metalics’ will also set up a hot rolling mill & furnace with a capacity of 15,80,000 TPA. The estimated investment of this project is INR 5,400 crore and is set to commission on Sept 30, 2029.

All the above mentioned projects will be funded through a mix of internal accruals and borrowings. These investments are expected to enhance the company’s manufacturing capacity, operational efficiency, and long-term growth prospects.
