Sri Raj Iron & Steel Products Pvt. Ltd. has signed an MoU with the Government of Maharashtra for a proposed INR 1,809 crore integrated steel plant at Gondpipri in Chandrapur district. The project is proposed to commence during 2029–30.

Sri Raj Iron & Steel Products Pvt. Ltd. has signed an MoU with the Government of Maharashtra for the proposed INR 1,809 crore integrated steel plant at Gondpipri, Chandrapur. The investment has been facilitated by the Association for Industrial Development (AID) as part of efforts to attract industrial investment to Vidarbha.
The project is expected to generate around 1,200 direct employment opportunities, with work proposed to commence during 2029–30. Under the MoU, the Maharashtra Government will facilitate the company in obtaining necessary permissions, registrations, approvals, clearances and applicable fiscal incentives, subject to prevailing state policies and regulations.

The proposed project can further strengthen Chandrapur’s existing industrial base and contribute to the growth of the steel and manufacturing ecosystem in Vidarbha.
