The Board of Surya Roshni Limited recently approved the setting up of a new steel pipe plant for GP and CR coil/pipe manufacturing at Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh. With an investment of INR 75 crore through internal accruals, the mill is projected to have a production capacity of 72,000 TPA and commissioning is scheduled by March 2024.
Surya Roshni Limited’s Board of Directors has recently approved setting up of a new steel pipe plant in Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh, for the manufacturing of GP and CR coils/pipes. The new plant, being financed through internal accruals, has an investment of INR 75 crore and will have a production capacity of 72,000 TPA. The commissioning is scheduled by March 2024.

With the setup of the new plant, the company aims for the backward integration of GP and CR Coil /Pipe, ensuring timely availability of GP coil/CR coil at lower cost through in-house production, thus enabling the company to increase its production of GP Pipes and to cater the increasing demand of its products. With the setting-up of the new plant, the share of high value added pipes will increase resulting in the creation of a much larger and stronger steel pipes business with economies of scale.
