Tata Steel has signed a nn-binding pact with the government of Netherlands for low-carbon emission steel production in its  IJmuiden plant. 

The government intends to provide EUR 2 billion under the pact and the company has also applied to the EU Innovation Fund for EUR 0.3 billion for the same.

The remaining amount will be financed through Tata Steek Netherlands itself theough a combination of cash, debt and funding by Tata Steel. The company has nit yet disclosed the total expenditure for the project.
