Viraj Profiles Limited, a global manufacturer of stainless steel long products, has inaugurated an advanced piercer mill at its new seamless pipe plant in Boisar, Maharashtra, marking its entry into the high-value seamless pipe segment.
As per the company, production of hot finished mother hollows has commenced through the piercing of bright round bars, available in various grades and sizes, utilizing Viraj’s own stainless steel melting and bright bar manufacturing facility.
Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the facility ensured rigorous quality control through various testing methods, including hydro testing, ultrasonic testing and chemical composition analysis.

Viraj Profiles has called it a major step in its product expansion plans as the company was in the process of launching high-quality seamless stainless steel pipes for applications in sectors requiring high strength and pressure resistance, such as oil & gas pipelines, boilers, pressure vessels, and aerospace. The company further aimed to enhance its position in the global stainless steel market with the inauguration of the new mill.
