Al Jazeera Steel Products Co. SAOG has contracted POMINI Long Rolling Mills to design and supply a new rolling mill for medium sections to be installed in Kezad, Abu Dhabi.
The new mill will manufacture beams, and process billets and blooms in low to medium-carbon steel at a capacity of 450,000 metric TPA. The mill design will allow the production of premium rails in the future, as per the more stringent requirements of international norms, including head-hardened rails. It will be the first rolling mill in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) area capable, in a second phase, of producing rails.

The investment is in line with Al Jazeera’s product and geographical expansion strategy, which will help the company significantly enhance its services to the construction, oil & gas, and infrastructure sectors.
