Jullian Jalan: Since its inception in 2009 at Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh, A-One Steel Group has embarked on a remarkable journey marked by resilience, innovation, and dedication. Starting with a single induction furnace, we swiftly rose to prominence by pioneering the hot charging of billets, thereby revolutionizing steel manufacturing. By 2017, we proudly established our fully integrated steel manufacturing plant in Bellary, Karnataka, solidifying our position as a leader in the steel pipe industry in the Southern part of India.
Throughout our trajectory, we have achieved numerous milestones, becoming South India’s most awarded and fastest-growing TMT brand, having MS pipes and tubes in ranges up to 100 x100 sizes. With the largest consumer base spanning over six states, we have consistently surpassed industry standards, exemplified by our distinction as the sole steel company to win the prestigious Karnataka Government Safety Award.

This plant epitomizes our dedication to sustainability, bolstering our efforts to minimize environmental impact. We are validated with all required ISO certification. We have also established a captive power plant, which generates green energy (solar, wind) for consumption by the manufacturing unit.
TPI: Please give us insight into your future plans for the growth of A-One Steel Group.
SKJ: Our future endeavors at A-One Steel Group are anchored in enhancing sustainability initiatives, encompassing the reduction of our carbon footprint, investments in renewable energy sources, and unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship. In the next few months, our ERW steel pipe range will be upgraded up to 8 inch size. We also have a hot dip GI pipe project in the pipeline for the next FY 2024-25, to cater to the needs of agricultural borewell and green house projects.

SKJ: In the Indian tubes and pipes market, key trends include the burgeoning demand for sustainable materials, adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies, and a focus on infrastructure development. Nonetheless, challenges such as fluctuating raw material costs, competitive pricing pressures, and regulatory complexities persist, requiring strategic navigation.

Our A-One Gold Steel pre-galva GP pipes and GP coil manufacturing unit in Bellary has been established with production capacity of 1.44 lakh MTPA to cater to all structural needs preferable in the coastal parts of India.
