GMT Industries is aiming to become a leading global manufacturer and supplier of high-quality industrial machinery equipment. The company is working in this direction by entering into new ventures with global giants and taking its turnover to INR 251 crore in the next financial year. This was revealed by Mr. Neeraj Dubey, Director at GMT Industries Limited, during his interaction with Tube & Pipe India.
Tube & Pipe India: Kindly walk us through your business journey, highlighting major milestones and crucial achievements.
Neeraj Dubey: GMT Industries was established in 2008. For the past 16 years, the company has been servicing the needs of both national and international manufacturers by designing and commissioning turnkey projects throughout the globe. In terms of quality, delivery and volume, GMT Industries is currently India’s leading manufacturer of MS & SS ERW tube mills & finishing line equipment, along with slitting line & CTL.
TPI: Please give us information about your infrastructure and world-class manufacturing facility.
ND: Our plant is spread across 1.5 acres in IMT, Faridabad and we have taken another 1.5 acre plant just next door. We have two more units where we do fabrication and roll machining. We have around 12 CNCs. Most of the machines we supply are produced in-house; however, we import a few materials such as PLC, drive and servo motors from Siemens, Germany.
TPI: Kindly give us information about your product portfolio.
ND: Besides high-quality stainless steel tube mills, ERW tube mills and slitting lines for metal cutting with the best quality, GMT offers the widest range of modern designed horizontal accumulators with several models suitable for any type of strip processing line. We provide single/triple tube type draw benches with automatic operations, a huge array of high-quality tube push pointers, strip shear & welder, straightening machines, rolls for tube mill, forming lines and straightening machines, automatic cam operated twin head end facer with three tool system, annealing equipment, tube hydro testers, pipe bundling machines, pipe threading machines, servo cut to length lines, and specially built cold saw bar and tube cutting machines.
TPI: What is your USP that sets you apart from others? How do you manage to stay ahead of the curve?
ND: Hard work, good quality, dedication and transparency with our customers, coupled with an unwavering focus on branding, quality, and after-sales service are some of the reasons for our quick success. Our customers don’t have to wait for after-sales service. In most of the cases, we keep inventory for the spares. There’s no burden on the customers. We want to provide our customers with precision-engineered equipment through technological leadership and manufacturing excellence to give them a competitive edge in their business.
TPI: Kindly tell us more about your market footprint and major clientele.
ND: We are currently exporting 40 percent of our capacities to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Africa, and the Philippines. We are overbooked in the domestic market.
TPI: Kindly share your views on trade fairs. How do you think such events help the industry?
ND: GMT Industries thinks of trade fairs as an excellent platform to exhibit our products, technologies & innovations, and get instant feedback on the same. We believe industry fairs provide every stakeholder a good opportunity to connect with manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and buyers. Participating in international trade fairs can enhance brand visibility on a global scale, apart from attracting potential customers and investors from diverse geographic regions.

TPI: What are your expectations from Tube & Pipe Fair 2024?
ND: We are pinning high hopes on TPF 2024 to provide us with information on the latest innovations, product launches, current market trends, geopolitical factors affecting the trade, future opportunities and economic forecasts influencing the industry. We look forward to TPF 2024, Hyderabad, to interact with visitors and fellow participants, revive old connections & build new ones. We expect to foster business relationships with potential customers, which can turn into partnerships, collaborations and deals in the future.
TPI: Please share recent developments of GMT Industries Limited. Where do you see yourself five years down the line?
ND: Our energetic and young force has big plans for the future. We are looking to enhance our capacity and double our turnover. This year, our turnover will be around INR 114 crore and for the next financial year, we plan to take this to INR 251 crore. Hopefully, by next year, we’ll become one of the largest companies in the world. We have also done some joint ventures, which will be an added advantage for the growth of our company.
