Lloyds Metals to Invest INR 40,000 Crore More in Gadchiroli for Mega Steel Project

Lloyds Metals & Energy Limited will invest INR 40,000 crore over five years in Gadchiroli, aiming to build a 45 Million TPA beneficiation plant and 4.5 Million TPA integrated steel complex.

Lloyds Metals has announced an INR 40,000 crore investment plan in Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli district to develop a large-scale steel manufacturing hub. The project includes a 45 million tonnes per annum iron ore beneficiation plant worth INR 15,000 crore, a 4.5 million TPA steel plant worth INR 22,000 crore, a pellet facility, and a 90 km slurry pipeline.

Having already invested INR 5,000 crore in the region, the company’s expansion is expected to generate over 30,000 direct and indirect jobs, transforming the affected region into a key industrial zone. The initiative is backed by the Maharashtra government and will be funded through internal accruals and additional capital infusions, including a recent INR 4,000 crore QIP.
