Borouge’s advanced PE100 materials are supporting the production of 1,600mm large-diameter High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipes for a landmark desalination project undertaken by a leading infrastructure and energy corporation in India, contributing to national water security and infrastructure resilience.
Manufactured by our partner Sangir Plastics Pvt Ltd, these pipes meet stringent requirements needed for seawater intake, outfall pipelines, and desalination applications. With Borouge’s innovative materials, versatile processability, and technical expertise, Sangir successfully expanded its pipe production capability from 1,200mm to 1,600mm, advancing India’s HDPE pipe manufacturing capabilities.
