Rashmi Group to Establish INR 12,500-Cr Steel Plant in Telangana

Industrial conglomerate Rashmi Group has announced plans to set up a steel production unit in Telangana with an INR 12,500-crore investment, expected to generate up to 12,000 direct and indirect jobs.

Rashmi Group, known for manufacturing ductile iron pipes, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to invest approximately INR 12,500 crore in Telangana to set up a steel production unit. The MoU was signed with the Telangana Rising delegation led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy during the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos. Rashmi Group’s promoter Sajjan Kumar Patwari and director Sanjib Kumar Patwari reaffirmed their commitment to the project, which aligns with the state’s focus on boosting manufacturing and industrial growth.

The investment is expected to generate up to 12,000 direct and indirect jobs. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy lauded the investment, highlighting its potential to strengthen Telangana’s industrial ecosystem. The state government has pledged support for the project, including facilitating coal supply linkages.
