SAIL initiates leadership transition, appointing an interim CMD to ensure continuity and stability as the company enters its next phase.

Steel Authority of India Limited has announced a leadership transition, appointing Krishna Kumar Singh as interim Chairman and Managing Director (CMD).

Mr. Singh, who currently serves as Director (Personnel), will hold additional charge for a period of three months starting April 2, 2026, or until a full-time CMD is appointed.

The transition follows the completion of Amarendu Prakash’s tenure as Chairman and Managing Director, marking a new phase in the company’s leadership journey.
