Kalyani Steels has announced a leadership transition, with Amit Kalyani set to take over as Chairman and drive the company’s next growth phase.

Kalyani Steels Limited has appointed Amit Kalyani as Chairman of its Board, effective October 29, 2026, succeeding Dr. Babasaheb Kalyani, who has chaired the company since its incorporation. The planned transition is aimed at positioning the company for its next phase of growth, with a focus on green steel, advanced materials, digitalised operations and expansion into strategic sectors and global markets.
Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director of Bharat Forge Limited, has been associated with the Kalyani Group for over 25 years. He has led the Group’s expansion into aerospace, defence, electric mobility and advanced materials. He has also worked closely with R. K. Goyal, Managing Director of Kalyani Steels, in shaping the company’s growth strategy.
Under the new leadership, Kalyani Steels plans to accelerate its focus on greener and advanced materials while strengthening its presence in domestic and international markets. Amit Kalyani said the company would build on its culture of precision and manufacturing excellence to meet the evolving requirements of India’s industrial sector. Dr. Babasaheb Kalyani will continue to advise the Board, supporting the company’s long-term vision and strategic direction.
