BMW Industries to Establish Downstream Steel Complex Worth INR 803.47 Crore in Jharkhand

The greenfield project, having an annual production capacity of 300,000 tonnes of cold rolled full hard coil/sheet; 540,000 tonnes of galvanized coil/sheet, and 200,000 tonnes of color coated coils/sheets, will be set up at Bokaro in Jharkhand.

BMW Industries Limited is planning to expand its business by establishing a manufacturing plant at Bokaro in Jharkhand, the second-highest steel-producing state in the country. 

The company will establish a downstream steel complex with an annual production capacity of 300,000 TPA of cold rolled full hard coil/sheet; 540,000 TPA of galvanized coil/sheet, and 200,000 TPA of color coated coils/sheets.

Entailing an investment of INR 803.47 crore, the greenfield project will be funded through a mix of internal accruals and debt. BMW Industries already possesses the industrial land required for the purpose.

The expansion will enable the company to leverage its existing strengths in downstream steel processing and cater to the growing demand across the country.
