Jindal Saw Limited is advancing its pipe manufacturing expansion in the Middle East, with a proposed 300,000 TPA seamless pipe plant in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and a joint venture project in Saudi Arabia comprising two SAW pipe facilities with a planned capacity of 300,000 TPA each.
The Abu Dhabi project, located in the KEZAD industrial area, involves an estimated investment of approximately USD 330 million. The project is in its initial development and construction phase, with procurement of critical long-lead equipment under way. Financial closure is projected in the coming months, while commercial operations are targeted for FY2028–29. In Saudi Arabia, Jindal Saw plans to hold a 51% stake in a strategic joint venture, with its Saudi partner (Buhur of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) holding the remaining 49%. The project comprises separate helical and longitudinal pipe manufacturing facilities, each with a planned capacity of 300,000 TPA.

According to the company’s Q2 FY2027 earnings conference call on October 19, 2026, both projects are intended to serve the Middle East’s energy and water infrastructure requirements. The company noted that geopolitical tensions and regional security concerns could create near-term uncertainties around project execution, logistics and investment timing.
