Jindal Stainless is strengthening its downstream stainless steel manufacturing footprint with a INR 900-crore investment across Kharagpur in West Bengal and Hisar in Haryana. At its Kharagpur facility in Vidyasagar Industrial Park, spread across 60 acres, the company currently has 250 KTPA cold-rolling capacity and 50 KTPA pipe and tube capacity.

The expansion will enable the production of thinner and higher-value stainless steel products for applications including automobiles, appliances, food processing and industrial sectors. The Kharagpur expansion is targeted for commissioning by Q2 FY28.
