KEC International Wins Largest Water Pipeline Order worth INR 2,060 Crore

KEC International Limited, a global EPC major, has secured new orders of INR 3,023 crores across its various businesses, including its largest contract in the water pipeline segment, worth INR 2,060 crore. Other orders received are in the commercial building segments in India, transmission & distribution (T&D) projects in the US, and cables in India and overseas. The company’s order intake stands at a record over INR 18,500 crore in the year to date, growing over 30 percent from a year ago.

KEC International secured INR 3,023 crore of orders, including contracts of INR 2,060 crore in the water pipeline segment; and other contracts in the commercial building segments in India; transmission & distribution (T&D) projects in the US; and cables in India and overseas. The company’s shares rose up to 6 percent with the news of orders that could improve the engineering, procurement and construction company’s revenue visibility in the high-growth water pipeline segment. Until now, the company’s single largest order was a INR 2,060 crore water pipeline contract. With the new orders, the company’s order intake is at a record level of over INR 18,500 crore year to date, growing over 30 percent from a year ago, KEC said.

Mr. Vimal Kejriwal, MD of KEC International, shared in an exchange filing, “We are pleased with the size of new order wins, especially the orders in the water pipeline segment including our single largest order till date.” He continued, “We are now executing 10 prestigious projects in this segment with an overall project value of over INR 5,000 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission of the government.”
