Rishi Pipes & Tubes Private Limited, a leading manufacturer of stainless steel pipes & tubes in Bangalore, is making significant strides in the stainless-steel pipes & tubes market, with plans to double its production capacity to 2000 tonnes per month by February 2024. In a recent interview with Tube & Pipe India during Steelfab 2024, Mr. Prakhyat Nayak, Managing Director of Rishi Pipes and Tubes Private Limited, provided insightful details about the company’s history, growth, and plans.
Tube & Pipe India: Please provide a brief overview of your company, including its history, mission, and values.
Prakhyat Nayak: Established in 2015, Rishi Pipes & Tubes Private Limited initially started with a modest capacity of around 50 tonnes per month, manufacturing steel tubes with SS 304 and JT grades. Over the years, we have become a significant force in the stainless-steel pipes & tubes market in Bangalore.
Currently, our capacity stands at 900 tonnes per month, showcasing over 100 percent growth. We take pride in being the largest dealer of Jindal Stainless in South India for pipes and tubes, as evidenced by our Memorandum of Understanding with them. Our commitment revolves around delivering top-notch quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, and exploring continuous improvements in both products and services.
TPI: Where is your plant located?
PN: Our operations span across two units in Bangalore. The first is situated in the Dabaspet industrial area, while the second is located in the Hirehalli industrial area of Tumkur. Additionally, our corporate office is situated in Nagarbhavi, Bangalore.

PN: We specialize in producing stainless steel pipes in various shapes that include round, square, and rectangular sections in SS 304, SS 316, and JT grades. Offering 30+ sizes ranging from 12.7 mm to 127 mm, we take pride in being the pioneers in the manufacturing of slotted pipes and groove pipes in South India.
TPI: Share some light on your market footprint.
PN: Currently, our presence is concentrated in South India. However, we aspire to expand our reach nationally and explore international markets. While we face pricing comp-etition with Chinese companies, we have observed a decrease in the percentage of their market share in India. This shift has created opportunities for domestic players like us.

TPI: Shed some light on the current scenario of the tube and pipe industry in India and globally.
PN: The tube and pipe industry, especially in stainless steel, is on an upward trajectory in India. The demand for stainless steel pipes and tubes is substantial, both domestically and globally. Our extensive travels have exposed us to the global demand for such products.
TPI: Please give your views regarding the green steel policy and other initiatives of the government supporting this industry.
PN: The government’s initiatives, particularly under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, are instrumental in the development of the pipes and tubes sector in India. The focus on infrastructure development aligns with the industry’s growth. The green steel policy, emphasizing sustainability through recycling, is a positive step. It contributes to the industry’s advancement by promoting environmentally friendly practices.
TPI: What is your vision for the future and what are the plans for the company?
PN: Our vision revolves around continuous growth and innovation. We are in the process of establishing a new industrial facility for scheduled pipes and industrial tubes, with machinery installation set to be completed by the end of February. This expansion aims to double our current production capacity to 2000 metric tonnes per month. We are confident that our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction will drive our success in the coming years.
