Sambhv Steel Tubes Gains Environmental Clearance for Greenfield Steel Complex in Chhattisgarh

Sambhv Steel Tubes has secured the mandatory Environmental Clearance for its upcoming integrated steel project in Chhattisgarh, enabling project execution.

Sambhv Steel Tubes Limited has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Sambhv Tubes Private Limited, has received Environmental Clearance for a major greenfield steel manufacturing project at Village Kesda, Tehsil Simga, District Baloda Bazar–Bhatapara, Chhattisgarh.

The EC approval covers a large-scale integrated facility comprising 7,00,000 TPA DRI-based sponge iron, 12,00,000 TPA iron ore pellets, MS billets with induction furnaces and EAF will be 10,45,000 TPA), 10,00,000 TPA rerolled steel products, 6,00,000 TPA cold-rolled products, and 10,00,000 TPA steel tubes/pipes, along with additional units for galvanized steel, ferro alloys, coal washery, oxygen plant, 85 MW captive power plant and fly-ash brick production.

As disclosed earlier, although the project was initially proposed to be implemented through its subsidiary, the company will now directly execute it. The EC approval was a critical requirement for commencing the new facility, and it remains valid for 10 years, extendable by one year.
