SMS group will supply the plant’s design, engineering and equipment, including electrical systems and Level 1 and Level 2 automation. The plant will feature Optimus Sinter, a digital solution to optimise fuel consumption and stabilise production, along with Emission- and Energy-Optimized Sintering (EOS) technology. By recirculating off-gases and recovering waste heat, EOS is designed to reduce SOx and CO₂ emissions, solid fuel consumption and operating costs. The plant will have a strand area of 496 square metres and will be the third sinter plant of this scale within the JSW Group.
Commenting on the order, Matthias Gabriel, Director, SMS Agglomeration, said, “SMS group’s partnership with JSW Group is built on a strong foundation in agglomeration technologies. With multiple sinter plants already delivered and successfully operating based on SMS group’s solutions, this collaboration reflects SMS group’s technology leadership and the continued trust JSW Group has placed in our expertise, reliability, and performance.”
