Technofour, established in 1972 with a single-frequency metal sorter, has come a long way, serving a wide gamut of industries, including steel, automotive, defence, tubes, petrochemical, oil power generation, etc. Recently, the company launched its advanced conductivity meter, ‘Sigmet’. They plan to introduce an automated UT system and magnetic flux leakage systems in future. This was revealed by Mr. Bharat Biradar, Sales Head, Technofour, during an interaction with Tube & Pipe India magazine.

Recent Developments
We have unveiled our new advanced conductivity meter “Sigmet”. Technofour Sigmet is a highly advanced hand-held instrument for measuring the electrical conductivity of non-ferrous metals. An intuitive graphical user interface with a 5-inch capacitive touch screen simplifies the operation at four test frequencies. Proprietary signal processing algorithms make Sigmet a very stable and reliable companion to the test technician. Sigmet bristles are loaded with unique smart features. Test traceability is maintained by logging the user name, last calibration data, and time stamps.

Future Plans
We plan to introduce an automated UT system to inspect seamless and welded tubes/pipes and bars. In addition, we are also planning to provide magnetic flux leakage systems for inspection of seamless tubes.
