Vardhman Special Steel, leading manufacturer of high-quality special and alloy steel, has ordered a new black-bar straightening line for its Ludhiana facility in Punjab from Italian supplier of equipment and physical plants for the metals industry, Danieli.
As per Danieli, the new line will feature a two-roll straightening unit. It will process special steel black bars having diameters from 16 to 102 mm at working speeds up to 120 m/min, granting high-quality finished products and productivity.
The heavy-duty design of the straightening rolls and the wide, variable working-angle will allow the processing of special steel bars in multiple grades, in excellent dimensional tolerance –bar straightening up to 0.5 mm/m for as-rolled steel / up to 0.1 mm/m for bright steel.

Integrated into a user-friendly interface, Danieli Automation advanced process control and devices will make operations easier and safer. The supply will include engineering, technological equipment, on-site training, and advisory services. The new bar straightening line is scheduled to start operation in early 2026.
