Welspun Corp is expanding its global manufacturing footprint through a 225 KMTPA spiral (HSAW) pipe capacity addition in the US and a new greenfield spiral (HSAW) pipe and coating facility in Jordan, alongside plans to establish an internal FBE coating plant in India.

Welspun Corp Limited has announced a series of manufacturing expansion initiatives across the US, Jordan and India to strengthen its global line pipe business and expand its manufacturing capabilities.

In the US, the company is expanding its helical submerged arc welded (HSAW) spiral pipe manufacturing capacity by 225 KMTPA, with a capital investment of USD 115 million. In Jordan, Welspun Corp plans to establish a greenfield HSAW spiral pipe manufacturing plant along with a coating facility through a joint venture with Perma-Pipe, involving a total investment of USD 125 million.

In India, the company is acquiring a 49% direct stake in its step-down subsidiary, Welspun Special Coating Private Limited, to establish an internal Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) coating plant in partnership with Perma-Pipe.

These initiatives form part of Welspun Corp’s strategy to strengthen its international manufacturing presence and capitalise on demand opportunities in the US and Middle East markets. The company’s announcement did not specify the proposed capacity or completion timelines for the Jordan and Indian facilities.
