Indian Hume Pipe received a Letter of Acceptance worth INR 738.61 crore from the Public Health Engineering Department of Rajasthan for the construction of water supply infrastructure in the Dhorimanna and Chouhtan blocks of Barmer district of Rajasthan, supplying water to 275 villages.

Indian Hume Pipe received a Letter of Acceptance worth INR 738.61 crore, including GST, from the Public Health Engineering Department of Rajasthan. 

The project scope covers designing and executing a water supply system that will serve 275 villages spread across the Dhorimanna and Chouhtan blocks in Barmer district, in Rajasthan.

The project is being undertaken by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) funded Rajasthan Rural Water Supply & Fluorosis Mitigation Project Phase II, that will provide safe surface water to residents of Barmer and Jhunjhunu where there is scarcity of potable water and ground water and is heavily contaminated by fluoride.
