JFE Steel invests INR 7,875 crore for 25% stake in JSW Kalinga, marking joint control and advancing strategic steel partnership.

JSW Steel Limited and JFE Steel Corporation, Japan have operationalised their joint venture by establishing joint control over JSW Kalinga Steel Limited following a INR 7,875 crore investment by JFE.
JFE has been allotted 2.27 crore equity shares, translating to a 25% stake in JSW Kalinga on a fully diluted basis. The move is part of the joint venture agreement signed between the two companies in December 2025.
With this development, both partners now jointly control JSW Kalinga and its subsidiary, JSW Sambalpur Steel Limited, strengthening their collaboration in the steel segment.

As per the agreement, JFE will acquire an additional 25% stake for another INR 7,875 crore in the next phase, further deepening the partnership.
