Welspun has added two new manufacturing lines to its Bhopal plant. It will add four new manufacturing lines for O-PVC pipes in Raipur and South India in the next 18-24 months.

Welspun Corp Limited has come up with an investment plan worth INR 1,000 crore for the next two years, focusing on strengthening its presence in the Oriented Polyvinyl Chloride (O-PVC) pipes market.
Mr. Vipul Mathur, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Welspun Corp Limited, revealed during an earnings conference call that the company planned to add four new manufacturing lines for O-PVC pipes in Raipur and South India in the next 18-24 months.
He said the company has added two manufacturing lines for O-PVC pipes at its Bhopal plant and would increase the O-PVC capability in Raipur by the end of this year. Thereafter, it would increase its capacity in the South.

Welspun announced a comprehensive CAPEX of INR 1,300 crore over the next two years. It has already spent close to INR 300 crore in FY25 and would be spending additional INR 1,000 crore between FY26 and ‘27, largely on O-PVC pipes. There would be some upgradation and calibration of our water storage facilities and some SDP balancing lines also, he added.
